Serving on the Board of Directors

The District is governed by a directly elected, five member Board of Directors.  Any registered voter who resides in or owns taxable property in the District can vote in District elections and serve on the Board.  Board members serve staggered four-year terms, except in the years 2020 and 2022 where directors will be elected to three-year terms due to HB18-1039, which in those cases constitute a full term.  The Board meets once a month.  The Director terms are limited by term limits.  If you would be interested in serving on the Board of Directors, please contact our office for more information.  You must reside within District boundaries or own taxable property and you would be subject to eligibility based on the defined Director Districts.

Why should you be elected to the North Weld County Water District Board of Directors?: (limited to 1200 words)

I am a fourth generation farmer and resident of the Eaton area where I continue to actively farm and operate a small custom farming services.  I am a member of a local irrigation lateral Board of Directors where I have and continue to serve as President.  With the growth that has been seen in the Water District over the past several years, that shows no signs of slowing in the foreseeable future it is of the upmost importance that the Water District be the best stewards possible of our water resources. I want to help guide the Water District in being the best possible stewards.  Doing everything feasible to keep as much water as possible within its system.  To look for new ideas to improve the District.  To that end I have decided to run for the position of Director for Ward 1 of the North Weld County Water District.
